The Questionnaire and Harris Teeter

Anne’s back with Dr. Duncan Rougier-Chapman getting an MRI as I type.

And I’m walking around in Harris Teeter at North Hills. Aimlessly.

Duncan wouldn’t allow me back into the room with Anne for my own safety. I had brain surgery for a ruptured artery in 2000, and they sowed me back up with metal. And you know, high powered magnets make metal move… Another story for another time.

My sweet wife. As I sat with her in the waiting room, I glanced over my shoulder as she filled out the paperwork. And it told the whole story.

I’m sure I’m breaking some sort of HIPAA rule by including this picture, but I don’t care.

Pray for us. After I find my way back out of Harris Teeter with food for my bride, I’ll be sitting down with her and Duncan to see and hear the results.

Please Lord, give us a good report.

Praying for a good report for your sweet Anne. Also for peace as she has the MRI and that she would remember God goes before and behind her!!! For you to be able to encourage her even as your own faith is tested, Van.

  2. My son Busbee walked up to Anne earlier today and said “Mrs. Fletcher, I’m sorry you have breast cancer”. Needless to say I was shocked bc I hadn’t mentioned it to him (shock quickly turned to tears). Busbee proceeded to tell Anne and myself that Jack had told him before lunch. He then gave Anne a quick squeeze and told her she would be ok before running into the dinning hall to join his buddies. That was at 12:30 today… It’s now 5:30 and Busbee just ran into the house to take a quick break from a neighborhood game of baseball to ask if I heard anything else about Jacks mom?. I assured him I would let him know as soon as I heard anything (not sure how he knew about this part of your day either).
Just wanted you to know that we are all thinking of you during this trying time. Our prayers are with you, our fingers and toes are crossed tightly. Van, you are correct!!! This is the day that The Lord has made!!
